Live Scan

 

Our Mobile Live Scan staff are certified and authorized by the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to provide live scan fingerprinting services to the general public in the State of California.

We are approved and certified by the Department of Justice to establish a connection to the Applicant Communication Network for purposes of submitting an applicant’s electronic fingerprint images for criminal record information. We are available days, evenings, and weekends. We will travel to you, your office, or you may come to us.

 

Who Needs Live Scan?

Anyone applying for employment as a teacher, daycare employee, home daycare provider, elder care givers, nurses, doctors, tutors, coaches, certified nurse assistants, hospice caregivers, foster parents, adoptive parents, security guards, alarm companies, airline baggage handlers, homeland security, etc.

Also, anyone applying for professional licensing as a realtor, notary, stock broker, attorney, pharmacist, psychologist, MFT, LCSW, driving instructor, new and used vehicle salesperson, vehicle dealer, or any other vehicle industry related occupation licensed by the California DMV.

This is by no means an all-inclusive list! Requirements and legislation are constantly changing, raising the bar for many job seekers and volunteers. Many industries have legislation pending that will require the use of live scan technology in the near future. Your employeer will notify you if Live scan is needed and provide you with the proper documents to obtain live scan.

To expedite the signing of any document, Clients/Borrowers will need:

Any one of the following Valid Identifications (providing they are current) are acceptable:

- California Driver's License
- California Identification Card
- Two credible witness's (for a person who does not have current ID, Example: Mexico Driver's license)
- US Passport
- US Military ID Card
- Inmate ID Card
- Other State Driver's License
- Other State Identification card, Canada Driver's License - Foreign Passports stamped by USCIS - ID card issued by the USCIS (Notarization of USCIS forms only)

In addition, For Loan Document Signing:

- Any required stipulations for signing, (check with lender, example: W-2, Paystub).
- Closing cost check if applicable, (check with Lender or Escrow Co.).
- Have lender's phone number handy in case you have questions during the signing.
- Please complete all forms except signatures and notarized areas.
- Please review all documents for the correct spelling of names and correct dates.

 

 Apostille

 

The Office of the Secretary of State provides apostille and authentication service to U.S. citizens and foreign nationals on documents that will be used overseas.

Types of documents include:

Corporate documents such as company bylaws and articles of incorporation, power of attorney, diplomas, transcripts, letters relating to degrees, marital status, references and job certifications, home studies, deeds of assignments, distributorship agreements, papers for adoption purposes, etc.

The U.S. State Department provides general information about document authentications and apostilles under the Hague Convention of 1961, and a list of documents the participating countries will accept. 

If the country of intended use does not participate in the Hague Convention , documents being sent to that country can be "authenticated" or "certified" and may need to go through the consulate.

 

The California Secretary of State authenticates signatures only on documents issued in the State of California signed by a notary public or the following public officials and their deputies:

 

  • County Clerks, Registrar-Recorder

  • Court Administrators of the Superior Court

  • Executive Clerks of the Superior Court

  • Officers whose authority is not limited to any particular county

  • Executive Officers of the Superior Court

  • Judges of the Superior Court

  • Notaries Public

  • State Officials
